Surf Report For Beginner & Intermediate Surfers 5th and 6th April

After an amazing week or so of waves this weekend we will have some onshore winds. I still expect some fun waves with light, potentially offshore winds overnight Saturday.

Just a heads up, daylight savings ends this weekend.

Beginner and Intermediate Surfers Weekend Surf Report
When the swell isn't from the SW we get rights!

Saturday 5th April

Swell - 1.3m - 1.5m or 4 - 5ft

Wind - 15kts SW dropping all day.

High Tide - 3.55pm

Low Tide - 9.49am

It's windy and low tide in the morning but thee conditions will continue to improve throughout the day. By about midday expect really fun beginner waves with fun intermediate waves on the higher tide.

Beginners - I'd be looking to surf any time from midday onwards, the incoming tide will create beautiful rolling white water perfect for learning.

Look Out!! Avoid the morning low tide.

Advanced Beginners - Any time from about 2pm onwards will be fun. Expect nice reforms.

Look Out!! Wait for the wind to die off, then get out there.

Intermediates - The high tide will be your best bet. 3pm -5pm should have the best waves.

Look Out!! Same as advanced beginners.

Sunday 6th April

Swell  - 1.4m - 1.6m or 4 - 5ft

Wind  - Super light early with wind picking up from the north then north west

High Tide - 4.19pm

Low Tide - 10.06am

Move your clocks back an hour for the end of daylight savings! This suits the good winds early with the chance to get some fun waves before the wind comes up.

Beginners - It's a pretty small tide so you're a chance of getting good surf through the low tide, this works well with the lighter winds in the morning. If you want to get up early, there should be nice waves from 7am - 9am otherwise 11am onwards will be good. Sometime in the afternoon the wind will come up. Hopefully you've surfed before that.

Look Out!! If the wind stays light it will be really fun in the arvo.

Advanced Beginners - Tricky forecast because it's low tide when the winds best. If the wind stays light the arvo will be really fun on the high tide. If you're a confident paddler you might find a fun wave early with the light winds.

Look Out!! The small tide might mean theres good options on the lower tide, it's just hard to call for sure.

Intermediates - It has to be early on the low tide with less wind.

Look Out!! The small tide might mean theres good options on the lower tide, it's just hard to call for sure.
