Potential for offshores early Saturday and Sunday with the wind swinging later on both days. The swell is between 1.5 - 2m. Expect opportunities on the high tide. If you come out on Sunday make sure you check out the Maori Bay Boardriders comp that we've sponsored!
Saturday 23rd March
Swell - 1.9m or 5 - 6ft
Wind - Strong NNE offshore in the morning going NW
High Tide - 9.41am
Low Tide - 3.55pm
Saturday looks like it will be decent in the morning with the high tide if the wind stays true to it's current prediction.
Beginners - The morning high tide is the key for this weekend! 8am - midday will have the best beginner conditions!
Look Out!! The low tide will be tricky in the arvo so avoid 2pm onwards.
Advanced Beginners - Saturday should have some high tide reforms, look to get in from 8am - 11am.
Look Out!! The current heading north might mean you'll need to do a couple of 'walk arounds'.
Intermediates - It will be worth a look early if the wind stays offshore! Want to check the surf from bed? Jump on GoodSurfNow for a free surf cam - https://www.goodsurfnow.co.nz/location/muriwai
Look Out!! Avoid low tide and the likely onshore wind in the arvo.
