Surf Report For Beginner & Intermediate Surfers 2nd & 3rd November

Spring can be a hard time for surfers in Auckland with the west coast always onshore and the east coast dead flat. Last weekend ended up being better than the forecast suggested with lighter wind in the morning on Saturday. If you ever want a live conditions update just give us a call!

Beginner and Intermediate Surfers Weekend Surf Report
The Advanced Beginner crew with some post surf smiles!

Saturday 2nd November

Swell - 1.4 - 1.6m or 4 - 5ft

Wind - 15knts NW

High Tide - 10.47am

Low Tide - 4.53pm

Saturday is my pick for the weekend with the lighter winds (than Sunday) forecast. NW can be a alright direction for Muriwai so there should be some fun waves.

Beginners - The high tide will have a bit of push and power so if you're wanting something a bit more mellow come in the arvo 1pm onwards. Some beginners love when the waves are powerful, if that's you come at 10am🤙🏽

Look Out!! The waves will be powerful between 10.30am and 11.30am with the high tide.

Advanced Beginners - The mid to high tide in the morning will be the best bet if you're trying to get on a couple of unbroken waves. 8am - 10am is my pick, noon - 2pm is not a bad option either.

Look Out!! The sand banks have been similar for a month or so now so you should be getting a feel for the currents. High tide has been pulling towards the rocks.

Intermediates - High tide could have some fun ones, it's a big, high tide so you can expect some strong reform peaks coming through.

Look Out!! There will be a current heading towards the rip by the rocks.
