Surf Report For Beginner & Intermediate Surfers 5th & 6th October

Coming out at the right tide this weekend should see you get some fun waves and there will be options for all levels! The higher tide has been a bit gnarly recently but the banks on the lower tide have been really fun for beginners.

Morning surf check
As you come down the hill at dawn!

Saturday 5th October

Swell - 1.5 - 1.6m

Wind - 10 - 15knts N, NW

High Tide - 12.15pm

Low Tide - 6.33pm

A medium size swell and across-shore winds should mean some fun waves on the mid tide for beginners!

Beginners - Conditions will be best on the lower tide with good rolling white-water as the tide fills in you will have a lot more power in the waves. Aim to surf before 11am or after 2pm.

Look Out!! High tide has had an east coast like shorey (step waves close to the beach) so avoid if possible. Also look out for the rip by the rocks and the current pulling towards it!

Advanced Beginners - The mid tide is your best bet at the moment with good reforming waves expected from 8am onwards. If you like some power in your waves high tide could be fun too.

Look Out!! The current heading towards the rocks will be strong and the rip by the rocks a must avoid!

Intermediates - For intermediate surfers I'd expect high tide to be pretty fun. There will be the odd stepper wave and a lot of peaks.

Look Out!! The current heading towards the rocks will be strong and the rip by the rocks a must avoid!

Sunday 6th October
