Small tides this weekend mean that there will be some really good beginner waves most of the weekend. Intermediate surfers will find a wave on the high tide!
Saturday 12th October
Swell - 0.9 -1.3m (3-4ft) A small, messy swell rising through the arvo.
Wind - 20knts South West.
High Tide - 5.58pm
Low Tide - 11.29am
Strong onshore winds aren't favourable but the small swell and sandbanks have been producing really fun waves for all levels lately.
Beginners - Our pick for Saturday is 10am onwards. The conditions should be small with gentle white water great for learning. Go in front of the lifeguard tower on the low tide and you can expect over 100m long rides!
Look Out!! If you go south of the tower you can expect a strong current heading towards the rip by the rocks. Avoid!!
Advanced Beginners - 2pm onwards should be good with enough water on the bank to create fun reforms!
Look Out!! On the mid to low tide the current heading south has been really strong!
Intermediates - High tide early or in the late arvo is the go!
Look Out!! On the mid to low tide the current heading south has been really strong!
