Exciting report for this weekend with beautiful small, clean conditions forecast! It's a weekend that looks good for all levels and having the midday high tides mean that all day, both days will be fun!

Beginner and Intermediate Surfers Weekend Surf Report
Dylan at Maori Bay

Saturday 1st March

Swell - 1 - 1.1m or 2 - 3ft

Wind - 6 - 10knts North East

High Tide - 11.26am

Low Tide - 5.41pm

I'd expect beautiful conditions Saturday morning with a potential light sea breeze in the afternoon. The tides are big so you might need to avoid the low if you're a beginner. Possibility to be a 10/10 day!

Beginners - There should be amazing waves for learning from 8am until 4pm. If you like the waves to be more mellow avoid 11am - noon (right on the high tide).

Look Out!! The lower tide, 4pm onwards will be a little steep and gnarly.

Advanced Beginners - There should be good options through all the tides as long as you pick the right sand bank. 9am -1pm will be the easiest for getting nice unbroken waves.

Look Out!! Low tide might be tricky if you're not too confident out the back yet.

Intermediates - The morning will have the best wind so if you can find the right bank you'll score pumping waves!

Look Out!! If it's busy remember your surf etiquette.

Sunday 2nd March

Swell  - 1 - 1.2m or 2 - 4ft

Wind  - 1knt North with an arvo sea breeze

High Tide - 12.06pm

Low Tide - 6.22pm

Another excellent day for surfing! Sunday has a touch more swell which is a good thing. The morning will be best for all levels.

Beginners - I like the mid tide coming in for beginners at the moment, so 9am onwards will be really fun! If you can't make it out in the morning 1pm - 4pm should be great too!

Look Out!! Because the tides are big, if you don't like pushy waves avoid 11.30am - 12.30pm (1hr around high tide), it will be most powerful then.

Advanced Beginners - 8am until about 2/3pm should be great! Try paddle out a bit if you're feeling confident.

Look Out!! I'd avoid the lower tide in the evening.

Intermediates - Should be great all morning until the wind comes up.

Look Out!! If it's busy remember your surf etiquette.

This weekend is a great opportunity to get back out there if you haven't surfed in awhile.
