Yeew! Who doesn't like a long weekend? Saturday is looking all time with Sunday also looking great but with a bit more strength in the offshore wind and Monday is pretty windy onshore. The small tides should mean it's fun for beginner surfers all day.
Saturday 25th January
Swell - 1.2m - 1.3m or 3 - 4ft
Wind - 9 - 15kts North East
High Tide - 7.06am & 7.22pm
Low Tide - 1.12pm
A gentle swell with offshore winds should make Saturday really fun and the pick of the long weekend! The tides are small which should mean that there will be good beginner waves all day.
Beginners - The conditions look excellent this weekend but I'd still try avoid right on the low if possible. If you want all time beginner waves come out between 8am - 11am or 3pm until dark.
Look Out!! If it's sunny the sand will be hot!
Advanced Beginners - You might have to get up for an early session! If that's not your thing, the arvo with the incoming tide will be fun also! Anytime before 10am or after 4pm will be best.
Look Out!! There will be a little rip by the rocks with the outgoing tide.
Intermediates - There should be fun options all day!
Look Out!! If it's busy remember your surf ettiequte.
Sunday 26th January
Swell - 1.1m - 1.5m or 3 - 4ft
Wind - 13 - 25kts North East
High Tide - 8.04am
Low Tide - 2.11pm
Sunday looks super fun, just with a strong offshore breeze. The higher tide is normally more protected from the strong offshore so either early morning or evening will be best.
Beginners - Anytime from 9am - midday should be really fun! You might also find great waves in the afternoon from 4pm - 6pm.
Look Out!! Strong offshore winds make it extra important to cover your head when you wipeout!
Advanced Beginners - Early will be a great option 8am - 11am. You might also find a good wave in the evening but the morning still looks better.
Look Out!! Strong offshore winds make it extra important to cover your head when you wipeout!
Intermediates - Look for when the wind is lightest and you'll score!
Look Out!! Strong offshore winds make it extra important to cover your head when you wipeout!
Monday 27th January
Swell - 1.2m - 2.1m or 4 - 6ft
Wind - 20 - 30kts South West
High Tide - 8.55am
Low Tide - 3.04pm
If you ever wanted to try Blokart sailing, Monday is a good day. For Surfing, if you missed Saturday and Sunday you might be able to find a little wave in the morning before midday.
